This lovely neon-emerald green-blue Crystal Opal originates from Lightning Ridge, as does the beautiful piece of dark Crystal Gem Opal which exhibits fiery reds,deep blue sparkles and hints of green. Named "Firelight" because, with stunning neon emerald "fire" at the top of the Teardrop, it represents the early evening sky and the beautiful flickering reds of a campfire below, with it's hot burning coals. One can imagine an outdoors picture of nearby hills clothed in darkness, whilst being warmed by the hot coals of the fire. I am very pleased indeed with the finished outcome of this stunning and magical piece ! The body and black surrounds are composed of jet black leadlight glass with the back of this item polished to the same high mirror finish.
