This is a beautiful piece of Gem Chocolate Solid Opal from Ethiopia, called "chocolate opal"because of the colour of the base stone & background of the Gem Opal itself which is very similar to that of "chocolate"! This type of opal has naturally occurring fine formation lines but in no way takes away from the beauty of this enchanting Gemstone.
